Dear Parents,
We hope you had a nice relaxing holiday season and New Year! As you are all aware, the district sent out the email to go virtual late on January 1st and we would like to address some of your concerns regarding our before and after care programs and payments. Regularly scheduled payments for the month were charged on January 1st, however, you will receive a credit for days missed due to the virtual learning plan. (Based on 180-day calendar). Our plan is to see how many days the schools will be virtual and credit your accounts on February 1 (which is the next billing date).
We understand the challenges as a parent and have discussed childcare solutions with our staff and reached out to the Office of Licensing for alternate options. Since the YMCA does not have a license to run school programming such as: virtual learning/before-after care at our YMCA location, we are unable to offer full-day virtual learning through January 14th.
We WILL however, run our Martin Luther King All-Day program on January 17th, as this is not a school sponsored program. It is a YMCA sponsored program. To attend this program, you will need to register online at https://www.randolphymca.org/programs/ymca-full-days. (The MLK All-Day program will not count toward any credit issued from this school closing).
We are disheartened at this current update and will keep you notified of any changes. Rest assured, our staff is eager to return to a safe and healthy environment with your children.
