ACCELERATE YOUR ATHLETE: Speed Lab
Improve your speed, agility, and quickness. Whether you are on the court, field, or diamond, every step matters. This 6-week program is designed to test, challenge, and advance your acceleration, deceleration, straight line speed, change of direction, and reactive agility.
Session 1: Wednesdays 5:45-6:45 pm, May 20-July 1 with Coach AJ
Session 2: Thursdays 7:00-8:00 pm, July 9-August 13 with Coach Zach

INTRO TO STRENGTH TRAINING
Build strength and confidence in this 4-week introductory program designed for youth. Participants will learn proper form, safe techniques, and how to move beyond the basics of machine workouts while exploring a variety of equipment available at the Y. By the end of the program, young lifters will have the tools to begin creating and tracking their own workouts.
Participants will:
- Learn basic lifting and workout routines
- Practice safe form and technique
- Use a variety of strength equipment
- Create and track a beginner workout plan
Session 1: Mondays 4:30-5:30 pm May 18-June 15
Session 2: Tuesdays 4:30-5:30 pm May 19-June 16
Session 3: Saturdays 11:00 am-12:00 pm May 23-June 20

YOUTH PASSPORT: FITNESS
This free program is available to youth members ages 10-13. It is REQUIRED for usage of the Cardio Room & Lower Level Fitness Area. Ages 10 & 11 must also be accompanied by an adult or guardian (18+) within arm's reach when using the facility after successfully completing the Youth Passport. A complimentary color-coded wristband will be provided upon completion of the orientation. Members may exchange their 10/11 wristband for a 12/13 wristband on or after their 12th birthday, free of charge. Any replacement fee of $10 will be applied for any lost bands.
- 14 years old and up can use the lower fitness area and cardio room without any restrictions
- 12 and 13-year-olds must complete a youth passport to use the equipment properly in the lower fitness area and the Cardio room without the supervision of an adult.
- 10 and 11-year-olds are required to complete a youth passport under the direct supervision of an adult or a parent. They must always be accompanied by an adult or a parent during the workout, either in the Cardio room and the Lower Fitness Area.

YOUTH PASSPORT: AQUATICS
This program is for children ages 10-13 that once successfully completed, will be able to swim laps during designated Lap Swim times and do vertical exercises during designated Lap Swim times in the Main Pool. Children ages 10-13 can only use the Main Pool for lap swimming with a Youth Passport, while their parent or guardian remains in the pool area. The Youth Passport cannot be used for the Warm Water Pool during unscheduled times
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must swim 4 lengths of the pool (100 meters) non-stop, 2 laps freestyle and 2 laps backstroke
- Must be able to tread water for 60 seconds
- Must come prepared with a bathing suit & goggles. Will spend approximately 10 minutes in the pool
- Fully understand proper lap etiquette, how to pass in the lanes, and pool rules
- Must be a West Morris Area YMCA Member
