What is EGYM? EGYM is a modern approach to full-body circuit training. Through personalized equipment set-up and exercise programming, EGYM provides the opportunity for everyone to efficiently and intelligently work towards their fitness goals without any thinking. With the selection of one of nine goal-based programs, users will be guided through unique training methods and calculated progressions to optimize their results.
How does EGYM work? Different training goals require different types of workouts. EGYM Smart Strength machines use five targeted methods to enhance the reliability with which you achieve your personal fitness goals. EGYM training programs define optimized periods for the selected training objectives. The training method changes every six sessions to introduce a new growth stimulus. EGYM applies wave-shaped periods with four phases, allowing you to reap the maximum rewards. Each phase prioritizes a different goal, such as:
- Speed strength
- Maximum strength
- Strength building
- Activation
- Mobilization
- Endurance
- Metabolism
- Fat Burning
- Toning

EGYM Orientation Fee: $50 (One-Time Fee)
Your EGYM Orientation includes the following:
- A wristband linked to your account and exercise program
- A one-on-one guided orientation from a YMCA trainer featuring an initial screening through the EGYM Fitness Hub
- Initial account creation and education through the EGYM Hub
- Machine-by-machine set-up and form check
- Initial strength test
- Program recommendation based on specific needs and goals
Upon completion, simply scan your EGYM band and their equipment will recognize you, set your settings, and you're ready to go!
